His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to support environmental and climate initiatives at the regional and international levels, and to consolidate multilateral cooperation for a more prosperous future for all.
His Excellency explained that the Kingdom’s keenness to deepen its regional and international partnerships, and to adopt practical paths, stemming from the sincere desire to accelerate the pace of solutions to enhance water security and energy, and raise the readiness of the response systems of climate change, in a way that ensures the environmental sustainability of future generations, and keeps pace with sustainable development requirements.
This came when meeting with His Excellency this morning in the presence of a number of His Excellency Ministers, His Excellency Mr. Jassim Mohamed Al -Badawi, Secretary -General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, His Excellency Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al -Dahhak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment in the sisterly United Arab Emirates, and His Excellency Dr. Hani Atef Swailem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation in the sisterly Arab Republic The climate organized by the Ministry of Oil and Environment at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center.
During the meeting, His Excellency praised the importance of continuing constructive consultations between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and various countries of the world, and the exchange of environmental and climate experiences between scientifically and field qualified competencies that the region abounds in specialists, researchers and entrepreneurs, because of this impact on unifying visions and enhancing coordination between governments and private sector institutions; In order to adopt best practices in managing natural resources, consolidating a culture of innovation and environmental responsibility.
His Excellency also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the participants and high -ranking speakers for their contribution to enriching the conference, hoping for all success.
