Heba Ibrahim, a member of the Al -Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa, answered the ten -year -old girl Judy Ahmed from Minya Governorate, who asked about the age at which the veil must be worn, stressing that the matter is going through progressive educational stages until the girl reaches the age of assignment.
A member of the Al -Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa explained, during televised statements today, Sunday, that it is important for the girl to live in full childhood and rejoice herself without repression or early obligation, so that she does not feel that the veil is depriving her childhood, then the mother gradually begins to adjust the shape of clothes when the first signs of puberty appear, such as covering arms and wearing loose clothes, but in proportion to the child’s age.

She added that the veil becomes a legitimate duty when the girl reaches, which is known as menstruation, noting that if the mother had loved her daughter in the veil and returned her calmly from a young age, he will wear it at the age of puberty is easy and loved.
She emphasized that the practical role model for the mother is very important, and that education on modesty and commitment begins before the years of puberty, which prepares the girl psychologically to accept the veil when it is obligatory.
Heba Ibrahim said: “If my daughter raises modesty and commitment without suppression, and I knew her the virtue of the veil and his position, you will wear it from conviction at the age of commissioning, and the matter will be easy and beautiful to her.”
