The Export Council for ready -made clothes announced that the sector’s exports recorded remarkable growth during the period from January to August 2025, to reach 2.21 billion dollars compared to $ 1.80 billion in the same period last year, achieving an increase of 23%.

In its monthly report, the Council stated that the exports of August alone achieved 317 million dollars, compared to about 262 million dollars in August 2024, an increase of 21%.
In this context, Eng. Fadel Marzouq, head of the Export Council for Readybirth, stated that the sector is a candidate to achieve an unprecedented boom at the end of this year, expected that the growth rate will range between 30 to 35%, which is the largest historical increase in the Egyptian ready -made clothing sector.
Marzouq said, in a statement issued by the Export Council, that the main foreign markets witnessed strong growth, as exports to the United States of America increased by 14% to record 877 million dollars compared to 772 million dollars during the same period last year, while exports to European Union countries achieved a 36% jump to $ 558 million compared to 410 million dollars.
Exports to the African continent (with the exception of Arab countries) also recorded a sign of 56% to reach 8.6 million dollars compared to $ 5.5 million.
The Chairman of the Export Council stressed that these positive results come within the framework of close cooperation with the ministries of industry, investment and finance, noting that there is continuous coordination in order to solve any challenges that might face manufacturers and exporters, in a manner that ensures strengthening the competitiveness of the sector and achieving export targets.
Marzouq stressed that the Export Council for ready -made clothes continues to work to open new markets and diversify export purposes, in order to establish Egypt’s position as one of the most important centers for making and exporting ready -made clothes in the region and the world.
