Mahmoud Al -Khatib, Chairman of Al -Ahly Club, announced, officially, that he did not run in the upcoming Red Castle elections.
Mahmoud Al -Khatib issued an official statement through the official Al -Ahly website, in which he stated the following: My colleagues, members of the Al -Ahly Board of Directors, eight years ago, we pledged to Al -Ahly fans and its members, that we work sincerely, effort and vision so that Al -Ahly remains on the summit always with its history, principles and heroism, and with continuous development
For its facilities and the services of its members.
He continued: Over two sessions, two elections, I was honored to chair the board And globally, you are all thanks and appreciation.
And Abizaid: As you know, I tried several times to move away for a period of compliance with the advice of doctors, but every time the successive developments were forced to return to start daily work; In commitment to the responsibility that was assigned to the members of the General Assembly of Al -Ahly Club, and in appreciation of the confidence and aspirations of its fans. Today it has become necessary to respond to the strict recommendations of doctors to stay away from any pressure.
Al -Khatib continued in his statement: With the approaching call to the elections of a new board of directors in less than two months, I declare my nomination for a new period, and the beginning of my treatment stage from now, putting my full confidence in your competencies and your ability to manage the next stage with my preparation to participate in opinion or advice until the election of a new board of directors. In the end, I appeal to the honorable members of the Al -Ahly Club, to attend the Special General Assembly, scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2025, to participate in writing the future of our club.
He concluded: I thank you all and I wish you success in your upcoming steps. Al -Ahly club always remains an honor for everyone to belong to it, and a source of pride and leadership for Egyptian sports and our beloved homeland, Egypt.
