“Gilliad Sins” sponsors a workshop to enhance communication skills with the coexistence with HIV

Gilliad Sciences announced its cooperation with the Ministry of Health in Bahrain and the pioneers of health care experts to care for a specialized workshop in the Bahraini capital, Manama. The workshop focused on discussing the state of societal stigma associated with HIV and enhancing effective communication between healthcare professionals while dealing with living with HIV.

Participated in the workshop, infectious diseases, public health experts, and healthcare providers from all over the Kingdom. The event provided interactive discussions and practical training sessions dedicated to enhancing communication and ensuring optimal care.

The workshop program included a set of topics, including understanding negative social perceptions about HIV, building confidence with living with HIV, and applying psychological and social support techniques in treatment, as well as enhancing moral and legal responsibilities among health care providers. The attendees also participated in interactive exercises to enhance communication skills and create supportive environments for coexistence with the virus.

The workshop included a set of activities, the most prominent of which was the obligations board, as the participants expressed their symbolic obligations to support efforts to reduce the societal stigma associated with HIV and adopt comprehensive health care practices that respect the coexistence with HIV in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Commenting on this topic, Dr. Jamila Al -Salman, a consultant of infectious diseases and a professor of participation in the Arab Gulf University and the head of the strategic and technical advisory group to resist antibiotics at the World Health Organization: “The Kingdom of Bahrain, represented in its health bodies, has achieved important achievements in enhancing the level of awareness of HIV, and such workshops are an extension of the Kingdom’s vision in the health field and a pivotal step to ensure readiness Health care professionals to support the coexistence with HIV and provide medical care as well as psychological support that I see as important.

For his part, Mr. Vitor Babao, General Manager of Gilly Sins in the Middle East, said: “The challenges faced by workers in the field of health care at the region level continue regarding facing the state of societal stigma associated with HIV and providing effective support for coexistence with him and we are keen to cooperate with experts here in the Kingdom of Bahrain to exchange successful knowledge and methods of practical and provide resources capable of improving Patient experiences and their results in various health care environments.

This workshop falls within the framework of continuous efforts to provide health care professionals throughout the Middle East with the tools and knowledge necessary to improve patients ’results and reduce societal stigma associated with HIV.
