The Minister of Industry and Trade, Abdullah Adel Fakhro, issued Resolution No. (63) of 2025 regarding setting controls to exempt the inputs of the industry from customs duties, in a move aimed at alleviating the cost of production and enhancing the competitiveness of the industrial sector in Bahrain.
Four basic cases of exemption .. According to the decision, industrial facilities are granted an exemption from taxes or customs duties imposed on the inputs of imported industry in the following cases: 1. The absence of local production of these inputs or their lack of availability in the market.
2. It is impossible to obtain inputs identical to the industrial standards required in the facilities.
3. The difficulty of producing inputs locally during a reasonable period of time determined by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
4. The price of locally produced inputs, compared to importing by more than 10%. The decision will be entered into the implementation from the day following it to publish it in the Official Gazette.
