Sheikh Nasser Al Qasimi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Infrastructure Regulatory Sector at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, stressed the UAE’s keenness to continue supporting the joint Gulf efforts to accelerate the pace of the completion of the Cooperation Council railway project as one of the strategic projects that enhance economic integration, support social cohesion, and contribute to achieving sustainable development. The General Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States in Riyadh, in the presence of a number of Gulf officials concerned with the transportation and railway sector. Al -Qasimi said that the UAE, under the guidance of its wise leadership, continues to support the Gulf Cooperation Council railway project based on its deep belief in the importance of the project in strengthening the transportation system and supporting the inter -trade and opening broader horizons for economic integration between the GCC countries. The Gulf Railways, a number of major topics, included the general agreement to link the GCC states with the project, the report of the external references for previous financial years, as well as review the developments of studies and relevant projects and future participation plans in exhibitions and conferences specialized in the transport and railway sector.
