Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment, accompanied by Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, carried out an expanded field tour in the Al -Ruwaisat area and its industrial zone, as well as the central park in Al -Nour neighborhood in Sharm El -Sheikh, to follow up on current works and executive plans to address the existing challenges in these areas.
During the tour in the Al -Ruwaisat area, the Minister listened to a detailed explanation about the set of time plan, where the first and second phases were completed, and the start of the third stage of limiting violations, real estate and encroachments, while taking the necessary legal measures in coordination with the facilities in the governorate and electricity, water and gas companies.
The governor explained that the complaints related to water quality are due to the poor condition of the tanks for citizens and not cleaning them regularly, stressing the continued efforts to improve service and raise their efficiency.
The Minister also directed the speedy completion of the construction of the Hanager and Tannas in the industrial zone, and the determination of the areas allocated to it while adhering to the road campus and unifying a model accredited by the governorate that is implemented by the owners, in a manner that guarantees the flow of traffic and does not affect the general appearance.
The governor affirmed that an expanded committee has been formed that will continue to work according to the time plan to restrict the challenges existing in Al -Ruwaisat completely, and to prepare a detailed report at the end of this month, as well as another committee that has already begun to limit the dangerous buildings to the foot of the mountain, in preparation for taking safe measures for the benefit of citizens and providing the necessary alternatives to them.
In the Al -Nour neighborhood, the Minister directed the speedy removal of the two remaining two buildings, because of the direct danger to the lives of citizens, with the need to provide safe housing alternatives to the affected people. The minister also inspected the central park in the neighborhood, and continued the periodic maintenance plan for it, stressing the speedy launch of the shops and malls to be established in the park to maximize the benefit of them for the benefit of the families and visitors.
The governor presented to the minister the position of the governorate regarding the file of removing encroachments in Sharm El -Sheikh, explaining that the reconciliation rates on construction violations exceeded 90.43%, and that there is tangible progress in the legalization file, in addition to the continued work in implementing the removal decisions within the wave 27 in its specified timing, and dealing with all spatial variables in an organized manner.
He stressed that the city’s technological center has achieved high achievement rates in various files, provided that an official official report is submitted by all the detailed proportions of the ministry.
The governor also praised this visit, which resulted in several results, the most important of which is to stand on a number of negatives, which will be taken several immediate decisions towards it, including the accountability of some of the negligent in the city of Dahab.
At the end of the tour, the Governor of South Sinai expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister for her three -day visit in a number of cities of the province, and gave her the province shield in appreciation of her great efforts and continuous support for development programs in South Sinai.
