Informed sources reported that there are doubts about the disappearance of a rare golden bracelet from inside the Egyptian Museum of Tahrir, which sparked anxiety within the archaeological circles.
The sources told Cairo 24 that the competent authorities started extensive investigations to determine the truth of the incident, noting that it has not yet been confirmed by the fate of the archaeological piece.
In another context, the Egyptian Museum announced the liberation, the completion of the project to restore the paintings of Al -Makta, which was discovered in the late nineteenth century inside the King Amenhotep III Palace 1388-1351 BC at the point in the West Taiba in Luxor.
These 12 paintings are currently displayed in Hall No. 13 on the museum’s ground floor, as they represent a rare artistic model for floor decorations, walls and roofs of the royal palace, which was known as the beauty of its colors and decorations.
The restoration project was implemented during the years 2024-2025 by a specialized team from the Department of Restoration and Maintenance of Antiquities in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, in cooperation with the restoration team led by Bianca Madin from Oxford University.
