Al -Hassan Wattara, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, received the Order of the African Award for the Promotion of Peace for the year 2025, which is granted annually by the African Conference to Promote Peace, a joint initiative between the Mauritanian government and the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum aimed at highlighting the prominent efforts in building peace and dialogue in the African continent. The award was delivered by Sheikh Al -Mahfouz Bin Bey, Secretary -General of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, during a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan in the presence of Ali Youssef Al -Nuaimi, the UAE ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire, and a number of members of the Ivorian government, along with a high -level delegation from the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum that includes experts and representatives of international peace organizations.
