Bahraini businessmen emphasized that economic relations between Bahrain and Egypt are witnessing an accelerated growth that opens wide horizons for cooperation, noting that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounted to 661 million dollars in 2024 with targeting its raising to one billion dollars soon.
They pointed out that the areas of cooperation include food products, iron, aluminum and petroleum products, as well as agricultural, real estate and industrial investments, pointing out that the volume of Bahraini investments in Egypt exceeded 3.2 billion dollars distributed over strategic projects in infrastructure, industry and tourism.
They stressed that Egypt is a strategic gateway for Bahrain towards the African continent, thanks to its distinguished position and the industrial boom it achieved by creating major global industrial cities, which enhances the attracting Gulf investments.
They also noted the increase in demand in Bahrain on Egyptian products, high -quality, and the active role of the Bahraini -Egyptian Business Council in facilitating communication and enhancing partnerships, while emphasizing the importance of expanding renewable energy and investment tourism, developing joint industrial projects that support the Arab economy, and serve sustainable development.
The trade relations between Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt have a long and durable date, which reflects the strength of economic and trade ties between the two countries.
These relationships have witnessed a remarkable development in recent years, whether at the level of investments, trade exchanges or joint projects, especially in the sectors of agriculture, industry and real estate. These relations contribute to enhancing economic cooperation and providing mutual investment opportunities.
Businessman Jamal Al -Kooheji emphasized that the most prominent areas of trade exchange between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt are food products and industrial materials such as iron and aluminum, in addition to petroleum products.
He explained that these commercial relations are supporting the close historical relations between the two countries, as well as the ease of shipping and transportation between them, noting that the volume of bilateral trade exchange amounted to about 661 million US dollars during the year 2024.
Al -Kooheji pointed out that the agricultural and industrial sectors are one of the most important areas of joint cooperation, as Bahrain seeks to take advantage of Egyptian experiences in the field of agriculture, especially in the production of vegetables and fruits, while it pays increasing interest in strengthening its industrial partnerships, especially in the furniture, fabrics and leather industries that are characterized by high quality and global competitive ability.
He added that the economic relations between Bahrain and Egypt are witnessing an accelerated growth in various fields, whether in the field of investment, trade or industry, stressing that the presence of promising opportunities in the future allows the two countries to deepen bilateral cooperation in a way that contributes to supporting their national economy and enhancing their position in global markets.
For his part, businessman Nasser Al -Ahly confirmed that Bahrain has recently witnessed a significant increase in the number of Bahraini investors in Egypt. He also pointed out that the projects implemented in Egypt include multiple areas, such as agriculture, industry and real estate.
He added that there are many new projects that are being developed in Egypt, which opens the way for Bahraini investors to expand the horizons of their cooperation with their Egyptian counterparts.
According to Al -Ahly, the Bahraini Businessmen Association made a successful visit to Egypt, where they were briefed on many projects, whether industrial, agricultural or investment. He said: «Work is well underway, and our relationships with Egypt are excellent, whether at the level of individuals or associations.
For his part, the President of the Bahraini Businessmen Association, Ahmed bin Hindi, stressed that the economic and investment relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt are witnessing remarkable growth in recent years, and the pillars of a strategic partnership that achieves common interests between the two sides thanks to the support and support of the political leadership in the two brotherly countries.
This statement coincides with the efforts of the two countries to expand the volume of trade exchanges to nearly one billion dollars this year.
Bin Hindi added that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries witnessed a remarkable growth in the wake of bilateral agreements and new commercial facilities between the two parties, which aim to enhance industrial and economic integration between them.
Bin Hindi pointed out that the Bahraini investments in the Arab Republic of Egypt amounted to about 3.2 billion dollars distributed over a number of strategic projects, which highlights the depth of the private sector and the business community in the two countries.
He stressed that this volume of investments makes Bahrain among the most prominent Arab investors in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and constitutes a platform to enhance more partnerships in the areas of infrastructure, industrial projects, logistical and tourism services.
Bin Hindi pointed out that aluminum products, metal wires and iron are among the most prominent Bahraini exports to the Egyptian market. As for the Kingdom of Bahrain, it imports a variety of agricultural and food products, in addition to furniture, wood products, medicines and ready -made textiles, which are widely popular in the Bahraini market thanks to quality and competitive prices.
Bin Hindi stressed that Bahrain sees in Egypt a strategic gate towards the African continent, thanks to its distinguished geographical location and economic agreements signed between it and various African countries, pointing out that there are promising opportunities to expand towards renewable energy, logistics, and investment tourism, in light of a sustainable vision that supports the green economy and innovation in entrepreneurship.
Bin Hindi also pointed out that the association is working to facilitate communication between the business community in Bahrain and their counterparts in the Arab Republic of Egypt through the Bahrain -Egyptian Business Council and its strategic relationship with the Egyptian Businessmen Association, by organizing commercial delegations visits and participation in joint exhibitions and forums, and highlighting the available investment opportunities and enhancing commercial partnerships, in order to support sustainable economic growth in both brotherly countries.
Bin Hindi added that the Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes all initiatives that raise the level of cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt, and also directed his call to Egyptian businessmen and investors to benefit from the economic environment that attracts investments in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and establish joint industrial projects that enhance development and serve the Arab economy.
For his part, businessman Nabil Ajour pointed to the historical relationship that links Bahrain to Egypt, stressing that the trade relations between the two countries are old, the predecessor of diplomatic relations. He added that there are many memoranda of understanding signed between the two sides, which contribute to enhancing trade cooperation.
He explained that Bahrain imports many products from Egypt, such as food, carpets, leather and furniture. He also pointed out that there is an increasing demand in Bahrain on Egyptian products, especially furniture, cotton fabrics and curtains.
Ajour stated that Egypt witnessed a great development in the industrial sector, where huge industrial cities were established at a global level, such as the new industrial city that was established during the era of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, and the Egyptian government managed in cooperation with China, and aims to attract more Gulf investments, including Bahraini investments.
The Egyptian government also affirmed providing facilities for Gulf investors, which enhances attracting investments, and increases trade cooperation between the two countries.
