Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dinah, Minister of Oil and Environment, met the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs with Simon Steel, Secretary -General of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change at the headquarters of the permanent mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the Climate Week 2025.
During the meeting, the Minister of Oil and Environment, the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to continue joint work and close coordination with the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and Preparations for the Thirties’ Conference of the Parties (COP30), in order to enhance international efforts to face climate challenges and achieve sustainable development goals, praising the efforts made by the executive management of the agreement in coordination between the states of the parties, And pay ahead with joint climate work.
During the meeting, ways to enhance the existing cooperation between the two sides in the areas related to climate work were discussed, and to continue coordination on initiatives and programs aimed at supporting the implementation of international obligations within the Paris Agreement, and exchange of visions on ways to push international work towards achieving the desired green transformation.
