The Environmental Preservation Association in the Red Sea announced that it had received a number of complaints and communications, that several boats had been legitimate illegal hunting practices against the coast of Hurghada.

Immediately, the Red Sea Reserves Authority was notified, and large traction boats and the crankolas were monitored in the areas of “Abu Ramad – and in the area between Hurghada and El Gouna”
Where these activities are a direct threat to environmental systems in the Red Sea, and coral reefs and fish stocks are at risk.
Major General Amr Hanafi, the governor of the Red Sea, made a decision during the month of February of the year a text on the prohibition of traction and cranes in the Red Sea areas, with the exception of the Gulf of Suez, north of Shaab Al -Ashrafi.
This decision comes within the framework of efforts to protect the marine environment and preserve biological diversity, as traction and chantosola are among the activities that pose a threat to the fish stock and the coral reef environment. The move also comes in response to the recommendations of the scientific committee concerned with the causes of shark attacks on tourists.
With regard to the implementation of the decision, the second article stipulates the ban on the Track of all the Shankula boats in the Red Sea regions, with the exception of the tourist port of Hurghada for the purposes of catering and the emptying of the fish on the port berth, until the port of the Port is secured by the Takari of these boats in the Ras Gharib area.
The third article provides for the suspension of the violating boats from work, and to take the necessary legal measures in accordance with the controls and decisions in force in this regard.
