The administration of the Alson International School of Saqqara in Mariouteya region decided to temporarily close the semester of the fifth grade, after registering a number of confirmed cases affected by the HFMD virus among the class students.
In an official message to parents, the school announced that the closure decision is applied starting from Wednesday, and continues until Sunday, with the study be resumed next Monday, after the completion of the complete sterilization of the separation, to ensure that there are no traces of the virus.
The administration confirmed that the students who were officially diagnosed with the disease will not be allowed to return to school except after ensuring their complete recovery, noting that their parents were directly contacted to take the necessary health measures.

HFMD disease is a common viral diseases among children, and its symptoms are high temperature, sore throat, ulcers inside the mouth, in addition to a rash or blisters on the hands, feet and buttocks.
The school stressed that it is closely following the situation, and is keen to apply the necessary preventive and health measures, in order to preserve the safety of students and school workers, calling on parents to monitor the symptoms of their children, and enhance personal hygiene behaviors, especially hand washing regularly.
