The Chairman of the Professional and Legal Affairs Committee and local organizations at the Bahraini Journalists Association, Saeed Mohamed Saeed, announced the submission of the modified version of the statute through the association’s website, calling on all members to visit the site and see the copy, and get to know the review mechanism and how to add their proposals to the amendment.
He explained that this step comes in order to enhance members’ participation in modernizing the statute to keep pace with the rapid developments in the press and media sector and meet their aspirations. He thanked and appreciated all the members who contributed to the development of the system during the past sessions, pointing out that the modified version was subject to the review of the Board of Directors, in addition to consulting with a number of colleagues and colleagues with experience, and monitored the proposals that were previously worked on by the competent committee headed by colleague Mohamed Ismail, in addition to other proposals received from the members.
Saeed Mohamed added that all the observations were carefully studied, and the necessary texts were added that keep pace with the requirements of modernization and cover the various aspects of the development witnessed by the press and media sector, stressing that the participation of members by seeing and expressing opinion will bear fruit the adoption of an integrated basic system that enhances the professional role of the association and raises its performance.
