In a strategic move to enhance its capabilities in the field of cybersecurity, the Bahrain Space Agency participated in the National Cyber Ship 2025, organized by the National Cyber Security Center under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard, Secretary -General of the Supreme Defense Council.
The exercise, entitled “The supply chains’ attacks”, aims to simulate the scenarios of a complex electronic attack to test the readiness of government agencies and vital sectors in the Kingdom and their ability to respond effectively and coordinated to cyber crises.
In a statement, His Excellency Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Asiri, CEO of Bahrain Space Agency, stressed that: “The agency’s participation in this national exercise is enhancing our digital readiness and our ability to face advanced cyber threats. Enhancing cooperation and coordination between governmental and private bodies is the main pillar to protect digital infrastructure, which we seek to achieve through such distinct national initiatives that are necessary to be held periodically. And appreciation to the National Center for Cyber Security and its executive presidency, which is always a forerunner in its qualitative initiatives. “
For his part, Mr. Hussein Abdullatif, head of the Information Technology Department, explained that this participation comes within the framework of our commitment to enhance our readiness to confront cyber threats. This exercise represents a vital opportunity to test our technical team’s capabilities, improve coordination with other parties, and develop our skills in protecting our digital assets. We are confident that this participation will contribute to raising our level of cybersecurity and better protecting our data and systems in the future.
It is worth noting that this participation comes within the continuous efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain to enhance its cyber system, implement international best practices, and keep pace with global developments in the field of protection of cybersecurity, in line with the Kingdom’s vision to build a safe and sustainable digital environment ..
