Bahrain Chamber discusses with the Chinese economic advisor to enhance trade cooperation

The first deputy head of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khaled Mohamed Najibi, received, in his office, the economic and commercial advisor at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Zu Chunlin, where ways to enhance trade cooperation and expand economic partnerships between the two countries were discussed.

During the meeting, Najibi stressed the depth and durability of the historical relations that link Bahrain to China, pointing to its positive results that reflected on various political, social and economic fields, and pointed to the strength of trade relations between the two sides, which exceeded 2.3 billion US dollars in 2024, calling for more economic cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Najibi explained that there are promising sectors that can be a major axis of cooperation and transfer of knowledge, the most prominent of which are data centers, artificial intelligence, pharmaceutical industries, and the manufacturing sector, calling for enhancing the exchange of economic delegations and organizing joint activities that contribute to expanding investment partnerships.

For his part, Zu Chunlin praised the growing economic relations between Bahrain and China, stressing his country’s keenness to push these relations towards broader horizons, stressing the strategic location that Bahrain has a gateway to regional and international markets.

The meeting was attended by the second deputy head of the Chamber, Muhammad Abdul -Jabbar Al -Kohaji, Deputy Financial Secretary, Walid Ibrahim Kano, and member of the Executive Office, in the name of Muhammad Al -Sa’i.
