In the context of strengthening the partnership between state institutions and supporting the sustainable development process, Dr. Louay Saad Eddin Nasr, Acting President of Aswan University, received a high -level delegation from the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, headed by Eng. Sabah Mashali, Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy.
The delegation included a number of leaders of the electricity sector in Aswan, including Eng. Ahmed Sidqi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Higher Egypt Electricity Distribution Company, Eng.
Dr. Louay Saad Eddin Nusrat stressed the depth of the existing cooperation between the University of Aswan and various electricity sectors, explaining that the meeting comes within the framework of discussing ways of joint cooperation between the two sides in several areas, including training students of the Faculty of Engineering and the College of Energy Engineering in various sites of the three companies and training on the latest devices and renewable and non -renewable energy production stations, and Aswan University is keen to open up and integrate with state institutions, especially in light of the challenges facing the energy sector.
Nasrat added, there is permanent and fruitful communication with the three electricity companies in Aswan: production, transportation, and distribution, and we work together to develop scientific research and link it to the actual needs of society and various state sectors.
He pointed out that Aswan University is preparing to organize a joint national scientific conference next December, focusing on renewable and non -renewable energy issues, under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
For its part, the engineer Sabah Mashali expressed her happiness in attending the activities of the conference currently organized by the university with the wide participation of electricity and solar energy companies, and we thank Aswan University for this generous invitation, and we look forward to enhancing research and technical cooperation between the ministry and the university in a way that serves the state’s goals in the field of sustainable energy.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of supporting applied scientific research efforts and linking them to national projects, in a way that contributes to achieving Egypt’s 2030 vision in the field of energy.
