Dr. Ashraf Zaki, the captain of the acting professions, surprised the artistic community and the public by suddenly declaring his resignation from his post, after many years of hard work and dedication to the service of his fellow artists.
This decision, which was not taken into account, has caused controversy and questions about the future of the union management.
Ashraf Tolba Khalaf Zaki temporarily in the Representative Professions Syndicate
Regarding the future of the union, Cairo 24 continues with a member of the Syndicate of Representative Professions, and in turn stressed that the artist Ashraf Tolba, Secretary -General of the Representative Professions Syndicate, is the one who temporarily manages the union affairs after the resignation of Dr. Ashraf Zaki from his position as a captain of the union.
He added that the Secretary -General of the Syndicate is the first executive official after the captain, and he leads the union administration until a new captain is chosen or an official alternative was appointed.
This step comes within the legal procedures in force within the union, which states that the Secretary -General will temporarily manage the union in the absence of a deputy to the captain.
The reason for the resignation of Ashraf Zaki
In a related context, Cairo 24 learned from well -informed sources that Dr. Ashraf Zaki, the captain of representative professions, was nominated for appointment to the Senate, which is the main reason behind his sudden announcement of the end of his mission within the union, after years of hard work in serving the artistic community.
Ashraf Zaki’s resignation
Ashraf Zaki had officially announced that he left his position, confirming that his decision came after he performed his union duty to the fullest extent, in one of the most difficult periods that Egyptian art has gone through.
Zaki said in an official statement: The moment I got off from my site came to complete other colleagues after me the work and giving process, after I lived within the union for years I prepared from the most beautiful days of life.
Zaki thanked his deep thanks to the General Assembly and members of the Syndicate Council, praising the support and confidence he received throughout his service, which was a motive for him to continue to defend the rights of artists and take care of their interests.
