In a strange incident, the stories of films brought back to mind, the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh witnessed an exciting story after a woman found her missing husband 8 years ago in a video clip circulating on the “Instagram” platform.

In 2018, Gitundra Kumar, 32, disappeared from the village of Atamao in the Hardoy area. In 2017, Gitundra married Shilo, who descended from the Morangar region, and a child was provided with a few months after marriage. However, they quickly disappeared after the birth of their son, which prompted his family to submit a report of his loss in April 2018, and despite the extensive searches, no trace was found for years.

Sudden discovery via “Instagram”

The surprise occurred this year, when the wife saw a video circulating on “Instagram”, in which a man appears with another woman. According to her novel, she was shocked when she met her missing husband, and immediately rushed to inform the police, who started the investigation based on this information.

The wife said that she meant the house of her husband’s family to confirm the matter, noting that some members of his family were also suspected that he was, but they denied knowing any details of his whereabouts. She continued: “I cannot confirm whether the Gitundra family was aware of his place throughout these years,” she added, adding: “I do not know why you left me during pregnancy, when I desperately needed it.”

Meanwhile, the villagers began circulating the video widely through social media platforms, which doubled the uproar around the incident.

Complaint

For its part, the Indian police reported that the wife filed an official complaint, to register a case against Gitundra under Article 82 (1) of the “multiple marriage” of the Bharatia Nia Sanhita law. “It turned out during the investigation that Gitundra married another woman in Ludiana, and he was already arrested,” said Santosh Kumar Singh, a Hardoy police official.

According to the investigations, Gitundra has been living in the city of Ludiana for years, working in a fabric factory, and he is alleged to be married again there.

In an interview with the local newspaper “The Indian Express”, the wife recounted the details of her suffering since her marriage, saying, “I got married on April 28, 2017, but he began to physically assault me after a few months, which forced me to return to my father’s house in November of the same year. In the fourth month of my pregnancy, he suddenly disappeared. Then his family claimed that they did not know his place,” adding: I even saw the video on social media and made sure it was. “

The discovery of the husband after 8 years of absence raised a wide state of shock among the locals, who circulated the story extensively, amid questions about the reasons that prompted Gitundra to escape and left his pregnant wife and his infant child without any trace or communication.
