US President Donald Trump revealed that an important announcement related to the Syrian file will be revealed in the coming hours, without clarifying the nature or details of this announcement.
In statements to him, Trump said that his administration decided to lift the sanctions on Syria to “give it an opportunity to breathe,” noting that this decision came in response to a joint request from Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar.
Trump added: “Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was responsible for achieving a wonderful achievement, which is to remove the former regime in Syria.”
