Al -Hilal Saudi Club has strengthened its ranks today, Monday, by signing the young French goalkeeper Matteo Batoye coming from Olympic Lyon, in an official deal announced by the club through its account on the “X” platform, to sign a contract that extends until the summer of 2027.
Details of the Matteo Patoye deal
The French newspaper “L’Equipe” reported that the value of Patoye’s transfer to Al -Hilal amounted to 350 thousand euros, with Lyon’s club maintaining 20% of any future transfer to the goalkeeper, which reflects the French club’s keenness to benefit from his talent if he leaves in the future.
Why did Al -Hilal contract with Patoye?
This strategic step comes from Al Hilal at an important time, as it seeks to secure a ready alternative to the primary goalkeeper Yassin Bono, especially with his upcoming participation in the African Nations Cup, in addition to strengthening the depth of the goalkeeping center in preparation for a crowded season with local and continental championships and the Club World Cup.
Patoye march in Lyon
The French goalkeeper grew up inside the Olympic Academy of Leon, and was able to lead the youth team to crown the Jambarla Cup in 2022, before finding it difficult to impose himself with the first team in light of the strong competition with the goalkeeper Dominique Grave and Remy Decamp.
How did the name Patoye emerge in Europe?
Patoye spent two lending experiences with the French club Suoso, where he presented remarkable levels that made him the focus of attention of several European and Arab clubs, but Al -Hilal finally succeeded in resolving the deal in his favor, to become his latest summer deals in the framework of the policy of relying on promising young elements.
