In an exceptional event, Al -Azhar University organized, today, Sunday, a major celebration to receive new students in conjunction with the start of the new academic year 2025-2026.
Al -Azhar University organizes a ceremony to receive new students
The university said in an official statement, that the celebration came under the auspices of Dr. Salama Jumaa Dawood, President of the University, with the participation of a number of college leaders and faculty members, with the aim of welcoming new students and providing moral support to them at the beginning of their university career.
The ceremony included introductory paragraphs at the university and its activities, as well as a review of academic programs and services provided by the university for students, including cultural, sports and social support, in a way that enhances their integration within the university community.
The President of Al -Azhar University stressed that the university is keen to provide an integrated educational environment that contributes to graduating generations capable of serving society and the homeland, stressing that students are the main pillar of the university’s future and its scientific and advocacy mission.
This celebration comes within the framework of Al -Azhar University’s keenness to enhance the spirit of belonging among new students, and to introduce them to its ancient history and pioneering role in spreading science and knowledge.
Earlier, Dr. Salama Dawood, President of Al -Azhar University, accompanied by Dr. Sayed Bakri, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; University cities for boys in Cairo; To check on the housing of students, and the preparations that take place in the city buildings, directed to the need to finish housing old students as soon as possible, according to the stated tables.
He listened from Osama Tawfiq, head of the Central Administration of Cities, to a statement on the actual assimilation of cities and the stages of housing, and the tables that were placed to facilitate students in housing in cities; In terms of creating the right time for each college.
He was reassured about the housing of students with special cases, as well as the procedures for announcing the result in the presence of Mr. Khaled Rizk, Director General of Cities for Boys, Professor Nafisa Khalil, Director General of Cities for Girls, Ahmed Ismail, and Ihab Fathi, supervisors of cities coordination.
