The Health Directorate in Qena Governorate issued an explanatory statement, regarding what was circulated through social media platforms about the absence of doctors and members of the Nursing Authority from work in the health unit in the village of Al -Salamiya, confirming the regularity of workflow and the provision of medical services around the clock.
The Directorate explained that the Salamiya Unit is one of the operating central units 24 hours a day, and it serves about 29 thousand people, and provides integrated medical services that include outpatient clinics (human medicine and teeth), family planning, motherhood and childhood care, in addition to medical transfers.
The unit also implements all presidential initiatives, including an initiative to support women’s health to detect breast cancer, examine chronic diseases and kidney disorder, mother and fetus care, and hearing examination of newborns.
The statement stressed that the unit works with an integrated medical and administrative staff that includes two human doctors, 4 dentists, 4 pharmacists, 6 from the Nursing Authority, a health observer, a laboratory technician, and 4 administrators.
The statistics of the services provided revealed that the unit received during the period from June to August 2025 more than 2,800 cases, varied between outpatient clinics, emergency, family planning, vaccinations, children’s follow -up, pregnant care, dental and laboratory services.
From the beginning of September to September 20, it has also received hundreds of cases between human medicine clinics, teeth, reception and emergency throughout the day.
Regarding what was raised about the absence of one of the doctors, the Directorate confirmed that on September 19, the incident of the presence of one of the nobles was monitored, and legal measures were taken against him, with an alternative doctor’s assignment as of September 20, where supervisory team visits have proven full commitment to work hours until late at night.
“Qena Health” indicated that the unit is equipped with all basic drugs and the periodic replacement is every 3 months, and the last exchange of medicines was on September 7, in addition to the availability of sufficient balance from different vaccines, pointing out that the unit is approved by the Quality Committee of the Ministry of Health and the World Bank since 2017 by 73.3%, and is equipped with the latest medical and non -medical devices.
The Directorate emphasized that the unit is subject to a daily follow -up of the supervisory teams in the administration and the directorate, in addition to the periodic traffic from the local councils, as well as assigning the financial and administrative supervisor to follow up the work in the morning and evening.
The statement concluded by emphasizing the commitment of the Health Directorate in Qena to provide distinguished medical services to citizens, while ensuring the continued follow -up and control to achieve discipline and quality of performance.
