The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced that the General Administration of Criminal Investigation was able to uncover and control an international network involved in the management of electronic gambling games and transfer its returns illegally within the country, including 6 Egyptians, according to Kuwaiti reports.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior indicated that the investigations showed that the beginning of the case came after reaching information through the search operations for the network activity through social media applications, where a research and investigation team was formed implemented a court plan that resulted in the arrest of 7 accused, 6 Egyptians and one Syrian, in a direct link to the management of these illegal activities.

The statement pointed out that it was also found that the money laundering operations were carried out by transferring money from outside the country through a person residing in Turkey, with amounts that amount to 25 thousand Kuwaiti dinars or less, to be re -entered in informal ways and distributed in cash to the participants, and the total amounts seized and transmitted across the network reached 153,837.25 Kuwaiti dinars.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior indicated that coordination was made with the Funds Prosecution, and all the defendants were referred with the seized amounts and the full file of investigations and companies involved to the Public Prosecution to take the necessary legal measures against them.
