The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, on the occasion of the International Day of Charitable Action, pointed to the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, in the context of continuing the implementation of plans and programs to enhance charitable and social work, and expand the partnership with civil society organizations in line with the principles of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, and the sustainable development goals.
He also drew attention to the active and witnessed achievements of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, headed by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, in the areas of social solidarity, orphans and widows, and relief of peoples affected by disasters and crises, in a way that keeps pace with the royal vision of investment in a better future for humanity according to innovative practices And sustainable.
He explained that this international occasion is a favorable opportunity to highlight the importance of charitable work, as it is a common approach and responsibility, in addition to raising awareness of the need to support volunteering and charitable activities, noting in this regard with generous royal initiatives, including establishing the principles of humanitarian diplomacy in order to provide assistance and support to contribute to alleviating the suffering of others, and providing educational and health services to those affected by conflicts. His Majesty the Great King, may God bless him, also presented the example and role models by directing His Majesty by transferring all the budgets allocated by the official authorities for the celebrations on the occasion of the silver jubilee to take over His Majesty the King’s reins of government to charitable societies and funds, and to establish the “King Hamad Award for Coexistence and Tolerance”.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees said that the Kingdom of Bahrain has an ancient heritage in charitable work that goes beyond individual assistance and responding to emergency situations, to form an essential pillar of the identity of society, and reflects the values of solidarity and compassion, pointing out that the Kingdom succeeded in establishing charitable work and turning it into sustainable institutional work that is compatible with the legal frameworks in force.
