The process of voting members of the club’s general assembly continues Al -AhlyWhich started at nine in the morning Friday, to vote on the amendments of the statute’s regulation after the issuance New Sports Law No. 171 of 2025.
What happens if the quorum of Al -Ahly’s generality is not completed?
The vote continues the General Assembly of Al -Ahly until seven in the evening, where at least 5,000 members must be attended by the completion of the quorum and the start of the votes, and then the result is announced by the head of the judicial committee supervising the process.
In the event that the quorum of the General Assembly of Al -Ahly Club is not completed, this means canceling the club’s regulations, applying the guidelines of the Ministry of Sports, and the consequent imposition of the postponement of the elections for another year in accordance with the recent amendments in the Sports Law.
The most prominent amendments to the Al -Ahly list presented to the General Assembly
The proposed amendments to the statute of Al -Ahly Club include a set of fundamental items that would draw the features of the club’s future, and the General Assembly gives its original role as a supreme authority in adopting crucial decisions, and the most prominent amendments came as follows:
Transfer of administrative specializations
The role that the Egyptian Olympic Committee was playing in adopting the regulations, lecturers of the board sessions and all administrative matters were transferred, to become the jurisdiction of the competent administrative authority in accordance with the provisions of the new law.
Organizing the adoption of the budget
The amendments have developed a new mechanism to display the budget and the final account, as it imposes the necessity of the presence of an independent financial observer from the Financial Supervision Authority alongside the auditor, in a manner that guarantees the highest standards of transparency and control.
The independence of the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center
The amendments stipulated the independence of the center, after it was affiliated with the Egyptian Olympic Committee, to become a more neutral and effective entity in separating sports conflicts.
Al -Ahly stressed in an official statement, that these amendments come in line with the provisions of the new sports law, and enhance the role of the general assembly as the owner of the supreme authority and the owner of the original right to approve the regulations and draw the future of the club, instead of relying on the previous guidelines.
It is noteworthy that the board of directors of Al -Ahly Club, headed by Mahmoud Al -Khatib, invited to hold a general assembly next Friday, to vote on the amendments of the regulations at the club’s headquarters in the island.
