The Iraqi Diyala province witnessed a new tragic development in the food poisoning incident that affected a family, after a second child died hours after the death of his 11 -year -old sister, while two other family members are still under careful medical surveillance in Baquba Teaching Hospital.

According to Iraqi media reports, which have not yet been resolved the final reasons for poisoning, as a medical source indicated that it is difficult to be a simple home meal consisting of rapidly prepared poetry with eggs, vanilla and bananas, the only reason behind this critical condition, stressing that there are other possibilities awaiting the results of laboratory examinations and medical investigations.
Reports added that the child’s father had bought banana juice from a popular market, and it is likely that it would be expired, which may be one of the factors affecting the incident.
The city of Baquba witnessed on Sunday evening the death of a child and the injury of her three brothers in severe food poisoning after eating an unconventional home meal prepared by their mother.
The incident raised the concerns of the residents of the region who warned of the spread of spoiled foodstuffs in the popular markets, demanding that health control over the shops and restaurants, especially in villages and parties, where official supervision weakens and the risk of marketing damaged or expired products increases.
One of the people stressed that this phenomenon represents a real danger to the lives of citizens, noting that he was personally exposed more than once to buy products that were later revealed to be expired.
