Al -Azhar International Academy for Training of Imams and Preachers is organizing a scientific symposium entitled “The silence in the Personal Status Law … a jurisprudential vision”, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11 am at the Al -Azhar Conference Hall in Nasr City.

Dr. Hassan Al -Sagheer – President of the Academy – pointed out that these seminars are held on a monthly basis, and targets imams, preachers and preachers trained in the academy from inside and outside Egypt, while providing participation for specialists and researchers to deepen their jurisprudence and legitimacy and develop their awareness skills, and his virtue stressed that these activities represent an integrated scientific platform to see the latest jurisprudence and legitimacy with the participation of elite Among the great scholars and specialists, as well as the imams, preachers and members of the fatwa committees provide an opportunity to understand the nature of the issues facing society and the masses, and refine their skills in providing legal and accurate awareness answers according to the practical reality, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of advocacy and fatwa to keep pace with the needs of contemporary society.
During the symposium, the participants present an integrated scientific and legal presentation on the most prominent aspects and issues that are silent in the “Personal Status Law”, in a way that contributes to deepening jurisprudence and developing awareness capabilities of imams and preachers, and ensures the practical benefit in dealing with developments.
This event comes within the efforts of the Academy in highlighting the role of Islamic law in dealing with contemporary developments, achieving human interest, and preserving values and morals.
It should be noted that the previous symposium was entitled: “Stem cell therapy: medical and legal dimensions”, reflecting the academy’s keenness to integrate legal knowledge with modern science to enhance the experience of the participants and their jurisprudential and scientific awareness
