Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al -Raisi, President of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), President Amr Cisoko Imbalo, President of the Republic of Guinea -Bissau, said “Interpol Medal of the upper class”, thus becoming the first African head to obtain this high honor. This coronation came during a historic visit by President Imbalo to the organization’s general headquarters in Lyon, to also be the first head of state from the continent of Africa to visit the INTERPOL headquarters since its foundation more than a hundred years ago. This medal is the highest degree of honor granted by the organization, which includes 196 member states, to the leaders of state and international figures in appreciation of their prominent role in enhancing and combating global security cooperation.
