The Media Center of the Council of Ministers published an infograph, through which it highlighted a new achievement in the oil and natural gas sector.
Ministers Information: 50 million cubic feet of gas per day from a new well for Khalda company in Western Sahara
The infographic explained that the Khalda Petroleum Company has already started producing gas from the new well in the south of Western Sahara, at a rate of up to 50 million cubic feet of gas per day, reflecting the continued efforts made to enhance Egypt’s capabilities in energy production and support the state’s plans to achieve self -sufficiency and increase exports.
This comes within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to expand research, exploration and development of discovered fields in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of the local market and pushing the national economy.
