The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Dakahlia launched sudden supervisory campaigns on bakeries, markets and factories, in implementation of the directives of Dr. Sharif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Major General Tariq Marzouq, Governor of Dakahlia, within the framework of a continuous plan to tighten control and protect citizens from fraud and manipulation.
The campaigns were led by the accountant Ali Hassan Abdel -Fattah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Dakahlia, and efforts resulted in the seizure of 3 thousand honeyed packages in one of the factories, which were seized and samples were sent for analysis.
47 violations were also liberated in the markets, which included the sale at more than the official price, commercial fraud, slaughtering outside the Sultana, and the circulation of unknown goods or without bills, in addition to controlling large quantities of goods, most notably:
190 kg municipal meat slaughtered outside the Sultanate and without seals.
350 kg of meat and various chicken.
22 sheets of salt, weighing 25 kg with a supported municipal bakery.
30 sheet feed 20 kg.
2 tons of salt without bills.
The campaigns on bakeries also resulted in the liberation of 143 violations that included the production of minus weight, the low level of hygiene, the behavior of the subsidized flour, and the stopping of production without prior permission.
The Undersecretary stressed that the campaigns are continuing daily, and that the directorate will not tolerate any attempts to cheat or manipulate citizens ’sustenance, and the oversight will remain a sword that is authorized to protect the consumer and ensure the support of its beneficiaries.
