The Bahraini Special Olympics concluded its participation in the regional competition for the private Olympics in the sport of equestrian, which was held in Al Ain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the period from 24 to 28 August, achieving an honorable outcome of 3 gold medals, one silver medal, and 4 bronze medals.
The brilliant Bahraini knight, Naila Al -Athm, confirmed her distinguished presence in achieving two golds in the English ride competition and the jumping competition for the BI category, to continue her brilliance in regional and international forums. Meanwhile, the promising player Hamad Ismail, who participates for the first time in these competitions, succeeded in winning the gold and control competition gold, in addition to the third place in the English jumping and riding competitions for the BI category as well.
As for the veteran player Ibrahim Al -Ali, he won the silver medal in the English ride competition, in addition to winning the third place in both the track, control and jumping competitions for the category (A), confirming his great experience and strong presence in the championship.
In addition to the competitions, Bahraini players and coaches participated in the regional training sessions for coaches and players, which aim to exchange experiences and develop the skills of participants, in the context of strengthening players’ readiness to continue achieving sports achievements at the regional and global levels.
