In this context, Walid Jamal Al -Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, stated that the two new projects reflect the increasing confidence of investors in the economic zone, and the authority’s pivotal role in attracting advanced logistical investments serving regional and international trade.

He pointed out that the establishment of customs deposits in the areas of Qantara West and Sokhna represents a qualitative shift in the integration of logistical activities within the region, and helps to reduce the costs of supply chains and increase the efficiency of container circulation, as well as provide new job opportunities, stressing the work to support the economic region’s position as a global center for supply chains, manufacturing and logistical services, in line with the Egyptian state strategy to become Egypt A pioneering logistical platform linking the continents of the world.

Walid Jamal Al -Din added that the authority aims, through these projects, to develop value -added services for the shipping lines, and to benefit from the advanced infrastructure of roads and ports, in a way that serves investors in the industrial areas of the authority and contributes to the movement of products and enhances the region’s role in the service of transit trade and industrial projects, stressing that this type of projects keeps pace with global changes in the maritime transport industry and logistics, especially with the increasing demand for storage solutions and handling solutions Integrated.
