The activities of the city of youth this year, the pioneering initiative sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, ended with great success in attracting youth energies and directed towards creativity and innovation, but what distinguishes the city of youth is not limited to its activities and activities, but is embodied in the deepest message of making future leaders and formulating a generation capable of positive change.
I was eager to visit the city as my personal capacity, disguising the officials to live the experiment honestly, and within just ten minutes of roaming between its corridors, I encountered four students from the Gulf University where I work, these young people talked to me about their experience with passion, and they said that they are happy to participate and organize, and they feel proud because they provide workshops and participate in managing the events, I walked between them. For innovation for children and among the competitions held on the stage, and what caught my theory was not only the diversity of programs, but the high level of organization and quality in implementation, and the advancement in the details, with a clear care of the Bahraini national identity, I felt that this city is not just an event, but a national school in leadership, and in this year, the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain supervise all a parental visit from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect him It came to emphasize the role of youth in building the future, and to reflect the great confidence that the rational leadership of its children as the pillar of development and the basis of the renaissance, and during those observations, I jumped my memory back, until the moment I read news about the appointment of Fatima Al -Majid as director of the youth city administration, the news was not passing for me, I know Fatima close A confident personality, present opinion, committed to the work, with a remarkable ability to express its point of view, and by virtue of the nature of the public relations work directly related to the president of the institution, we were discussing a lot in the details of the events, and it always raised visions characterized by depth and commitment, when we arrived a letter from the Ministry of Youth Affairs about the launch of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a brilliant program, I did not hesitate for a moment in its nomination, I did not visit it, and I did not wait Rather, I took the decision directly from my conviction that it was the perfect model, which distinguished Fatima at that stage that she was committed to two levels; Commitment to official hours and adherence to the requirements of the program, made a double effort and succeeded in reaching the final stages, carrying with her new skills and polishing her leadership personality, after returning from the program, she noticed the great shift in her personality, she became more daring to make decisions, and closer to the formulation of a long -term vision, and the most beautiful of that is that she was sometimes convinced me to change decisions that I made in advance, I was losing my opinion, but I was losing my opinion The most advanced university is more advanced thanks to its vision angle, these moments made me realize that the successful leader is the one who rejoices when one of his employees excelled with thought and vision, Fatima was doing this in a sophisticated manner that forces me to listen and reconsider, which made me get more confident in her.
But every success story with her moments of separation, on an unusual day, Fatima entered my office with different steps, she knocked on the door calmly and sat in front of me, her look was not as I had entrusted her, and she said directly: “Doctor, I got a work contract in the Ministry of Youth Affairs responsible For the youth of Bahrain, and this is a bigger role and fits your capabilities. ”She smiled and her eyes fill them with tears, then she asked not to write an official resignation, as if she wanted to deliver a hidden message that the university was not just a workplace left with an administrative paper, but rather the place where her skills developed and her personality changed, I did not refuse her request, so Fatima was always different in her ideas and initiatives, even in her farewell, she wanted to leave an unconventional fingerprint. A sincere love message for an institution that embraced her beginnings, her words on the day of farewell cried to everyone, as she left the university for a rare moment, and on its first working day in the ministry, she called me to ask about the university, I said to her: The institutional communication official at a family company, one of the major shipping and reform companies companies, “I felt that my decision to nominate it to a brilliant program was not only support for an employee, but a modest contribution to the industry of a Bahraini leader that proved its worth, I remember another day that took me to the university’s football field to explain its plan to celebrate the National Day and the Gallery of His Majesty the King, I sat on the ground. And the events are creative in the details, while I was satisfied with approval, taken enthusiastically, and upon our return she said to me a sentence that reduced all her feelings: “Doctor .. We do not live in Bahrain, but Bahrain live in us”, she stopped at the time silently, then I did not find words that could add something to this phrase.
The experience of Fatima Al -Majid is not only a personal story, but a vivid model for the success of a brilliant program launched by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the program gave her the strength of the decision, the confidence of leadership, and the vision of change, and today it holds leadership positions in major national institutions, so her choice to occupy her current position was not pure coincidence, but it is an implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Nasser, and Fatima is not alone. They came out of the womb of this initiative and they are more faithful to their ability to bring about change, and this is the essence of the vision that His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa believes in; Building a generation inhabited by the homeland before the homeland dwells in it.
