The WhatsApp application is preparing to launch a new feature dedicated to users of the Android system that aims to improve interaction within groups, through the ability to share status updates between members.
This step comes within the company’s endeavor to enhance the user experience and facilitate the participation of information within group conversations, especially in the crowded and crowded groups.
An interactive feature within the groups
The new feature of WhatsApp users allows to publish a case update related to the group directly through a new option that will appear in the group information screen, and this update will only be visible to the members of the group itself without appearing to the rest of the contacts or followers.
The feature depends on the same mechanism used in traditional status updates as it disappears automatically after 24 hours of its publication, but the main difference is that these updates are intended for groups, which gives them a special and interactive character among members only.
Ease of access and organization

The group members will not need to pass in dozens of messages to reach an important update, as they can simply press the group icon to see the case update directly, as well as these updates will appear in the “update” tab alongside other user cases, but it will remain exclusive to the group concerned only.
This feature would be very useful in large groups that are very active, as it managed to highlight important information and organize communication away from the usual text crowding.
Collective contribution
The advantage is not limited to the group’s supervisors only, but also allows all members to participate in the group’s status updates, and this enhances collective interaction and gives everyone the opportunity to contribute to highlighting important matters within the group.
The feature is currently available within the latest experimental version of the WhatsApp application on Android, and it is expected to be launched for all users in the coming weeks, which opens a new door to develop collective communication tools within the most popular application in the world.
