Our team lost the opportunity to qualify for the second round of the nineteenth World Championship for Handball, the Handball held in the Arab Republic of Egypt during the period from 6 to August 17, after losing from the Egyptian team 36 compared to 28 in the meeting that brought them together in the second round of the tournament.
With this loss, our team became outside the group’s accounts after suffering the second loss in a row, as the first loss against the Japanese team was last Wednesday, which ended with a score of 32-30 in favor of the samurai.
The Egyptian team achieved its second victory in the championship after its superiority in the first match against South Korea, while the Japanese achieved their second victory in the championship at the expense of South Korea, which made our team and the Koreans out of qualification accounts.
Our team will play its third match in the preliminary round against South Korea next Saturday, in a confrontation in order to determine the third position, and then play the confrontations of determining the positions in the championship.
A number of players who participated in the World Youth Championships in Poland participated with our team, as part of the hand union plan to involve youth elements with young people to benefit from contact with the largest teams, which would enhance their competition.
