The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority organized a specialized training workshop in the field of exhibition and conference tourism (MICE), at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, presented by Mr. Khaled bin Walid Al -Zadjali, Director of the Oman Convention Office at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, with the participation of 50 representatives from various sectors related to business tourism, which included the Marketing and Promotion Department of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, and management of the Bahrain Center For exhibitions (EWB), a number of hotels and travel agencies, in addition to representatives from the Economic Development Board (EDB) and some government and social agencies active in this field.
During the workshop, the director of the Oman Conference Office at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism reviewed the experience of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman in hosting and organizing regional and international conferences, and ways to benefit from these experiences within the framework of the executive program of the memorandum of understanding between the two brotherly countries in a field of tourism cooperation, and in a way that contributes to exchanging experiences and unifying efforts to achieve the common goals to develop the exhibition and conference tourism sector in the two countries The two brothers.
On this, Miss Dana Osama Al -Saad, Executive Vice President of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority for Resources and Projects, confirmed that the organization of this workshop comes within the framework of activating the executive program of the memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation between the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the government of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, and within the efforts aimed at continuing the development of the exhibition and conference tourism sector in the Kingdom, as one of the basic pillars in the tourism strategy 2022-2026, noting that the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, with its advanced capabilities and facilities, contributes to devoting the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the map of hosting international events, and enhancing its presence as a leading center in this sector.
