The delegation of the Independent Wise Organization (The Elders) visited the logistical centers of the Egyptian Red Crescent, in the city of Al -Arish, which is devoted to mobilizing, classifying and configuring aid according to the agreed international standards and listened to an explanation of work mechanisms and logistical challenges.
The delegation also inspected, on the sidelines of its visit to the city of Al -Arish, the Rafah crossing and reviewed the lineup of Egyptian aid trucks that are being promoted to the Gaza Strip, as well as United Nations aid, praising the efforts of the Egyptian state in supporting Gaza and a debtor obstructing the entry of aid from the other side in light of the acute food crisis experienced by the people of Gaza.
The Wise Organization is an independent international organization founded by the late leader Nelson Mandela in 2007, and includes former global leaders working to enhance solutions to urgent international issues.
The delegation included a group of prominent figures, including Mary Robinson, former president of Ireland, Helen Clark, former head of New Zealand, along with representatives of United Nations organizations in Egypt led by Mrs. Elina Banova, the United Nations residing coordinator in Egypt.
