The two MPs Salloum and Bou Khamas are participating in the third meeting of the Consultative Authority of the Supreme Council of Cooperation Countries

Representative Ahmed Al -Salloum, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, and MP Hassan Eid Khamas, Chairman of the National Affairs, Defense and Security Committee in the House of Representatives, participated on Wednesday (August 13) at the third meeting of the Consultative Authority of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council states in its twenty -eighth session, which was held virtually through visual communication technology.

In this context, the two deputies affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to enhance parliamentary work and raise its efficiency as a basic pillar to achieve sustainable development, thanks to the royal directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him that supports the development of the legislation system to keep pace with economic, political and social changes.

The two deputies pointed to the keenness of the House of Representatives to develop legislative work and enhance coordination between its members, and to discuss national issues with priority that reflect the aspirations of citizens and support the sustainable development process in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The third meeting of the advisory body comes within the series of periodic meetings held by the authority to study and discuss various legislative and strategic issues, and to follow up the implementation of previous recommendations, in addition to discussing ways to develop parliamentary performance and enhance the role of the Supreme Council in achieving national goals. The meeting focuses on activating cooperation between the various committees of the Council and unifying efforts to support the legislation that is in the interest of economic and social development and national security, which reflects national responsibility and enhances the strength of parliamentary work in facing the current challenges.
