DUBAI – The General Administration of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, in cooperation with Dubai airports, launched the “Red Carpet” corridor at Dubai International Airport, as a service that is the first of its kind globally to allow travelers to pass passport procedures within a few seconds and without the need to highlight any travel documents, with the possibility of processing up to ten passengers at the same time via the smart corridor. The corridor relies on artificial intelligence systems and biological recognition, as it processes data in advance to ensure the identity of travelers, and the transit process is carried out without stopping or highlighting documents, while transforming special cases of manual review, in order to maintain the highest safety standards.
