Today, the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Authority issued an awareness leaflet that includes a set of important medical guidance on how to deal with symptoms associated with non -complete polio cases, which may appear on some children without reaching the stage of complete paralysis, stressing the importance of following health instructions to relieve symptoms and improving the quality of life for the injured.
Guidelines to deal with unpleasant polio symptoms
The authority advised the need for abundant amounts of water and natural juices to maintain the hydration of the body, with the use of warm compresses to relieve muscle pain and relieve spasms, noting that the use of analgesics should be only after consulting a doctor or the specialist pharmacist.
The commission also stressed the importance of undergoing physical therapy, including the exercises recommended by the specialist doctor, and regularly on it, as well as the child gets enough rest and sleep, to enable the body to recover and reduce stress.
The Pharmaceutical Authority emphasized that these recommendations come within the framework of its ongoing efforts to support children’s health and provide reliable drug and treatment information to citizens, calling on parents not to compromise with any unusual muscle symptoms in children, and to go to medical advice as soon as possible.
