Reuters reported that the Norwegian sovereign fund decided to exit from 6 Israeli companies due to human rights violations in the war areas in the Gaza Strip.
The Norwegian wealth fund said that there are major Israeli banks that contribute to severe human rights violations.
The Norwegian sovereign wealth fund, the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world, announced last week the exclusion of 6 Israeli companies related to the West Bank and the Gaza Strip from its investment portfolio, after an ethical review of its investments in Israel.
The fund, whose assets of trillion dollars, did not mention the names of the companies that he decided to exclude, but he said that he would announce them and the reasons specified for its exit from each of them once the exit process was completed.
Among these companies are likely to be the five largest Israeli banks, which were under review by the Fund’s Ethics Control Authority, according to Reuters.

In the same context, the Fund announced that it had sold stakes in six other companies, after a decision to invest in investing only in Israeli companies listed on its record index.
Norgis Bank Investment, Management, which runs the fund, stated that until August 14, 19 billion Norwegian churches ($ 1.86 billion) in 38 companies listed in Israel, bringing the number of Israeli companies that the fund withdrew its investments from June 30 to 23 companies.

This latest announcement comes in the wake of an urgent review made by the fund earlier this month after reports that the fund collects a stake in an Israeli jet engines manufacturing group providing services to the Israeli army, including maintenance of combat aircraft.
