The Dutch Radio and Television Corporation said today, Friday, that the confidence in the Dutch Foreign Minister Kaspar Feldcamp was greatly damaged within the government due to the uncertainty surrounding the adoption of additional measures against Israel.
Yesterday, Thursday, Feldagb promised to provide additional measures to the Dutch parliament against Israel because of the situation in the Gaza Strip, but these initiatives were not coordinated with other members of the government.
Dutch parliament discussions on Gaza
The Dutch report reported that the Dutch Parliament’s discussions on Gaza were suspended on Friday due to the uncertainty about the minister’s specific actions, adding that the continuation of the discussion will depend on the decisions that the cabinet will take in light of the tense atmosphere.
The report added that the fate of the political foreign minister depends on the confidence of his colleagues and the results of the Council of Ministers, and if he is forced to take place in parliamentary discussions, he may face a vote by withdrawing confidence from the opposition.
Dutch humanitarian experts and humanitarian organizations have repeatedly emphasized that the country’s government ignores the chances of increasing pressure on Israel, and called on humanitarian organizations, including Oxfam Novib, to take immediate measures to stop weapons supplies to Israel and put humanitarian aid in Gaza under the supervision of the United Nations.
