The Judicial Committee supervising the elections of the Readers Syndicate, headed by Counselor Karam Jamil Abdel -Azim Hijazi, announced the victory of Sheikh Mohamed Hashad, Sheikh of the Egyptian readers, in the position of the Captain of the Readers, in the elections that took place today, Saturday, at the union’s headquarters, amid an intense presence of the people of the Holy Qur’an from various governorates of the Republic.
Sheikh Muhammad Hashad, a captain of the readers in the first elections under full judicial supervision
He won the seats of the category (A) twenty of the sheikhs, namely: Mahmoud Al -Khasht, Abdel -Latif Al -Azab and Hada, Yasser Abdel Baset Abdel Samad, Muhammad Mahrous Tolba, Muhammad Nassef Sultan, Walid Al -Sayed Abdul Shafi Hilal, Al -Khader Ahmed Mustafa, Al -Sayyid Abdul Karim Al -Ghitani, Muhammad Muhammad Mohi, Hussein Abdel -Al Maatouk, Muhammad Abdul -Mawghal Khalifa, Ahmed Awad Abu Fayyad, Muhammad Al -Fattah Al -Tarouti, Mahmoud Ali Hassan, Ibrahim Al -Sayed Al -Rifai, and Maher Al -Farmawi.
On the membership seats, category (B), Sheikh Hussein Ibrahim Fathallah Al -Iskandarani and Sheikh Ahmed Faraj Allah Al -Shazly won.
Al -Azhari announces the start of the elections
The activities of the elections were witnessed by Dr. Osama Al -Azhari, Minister of Awqaf, where he gave the starting signal to the voting process, stressing that these elections are the first to be supervised since he took office, and that it comes in an atmosphere that reflects the image of the new republic and the position of the Readers Syndicate.
Al -Azhari said in his speech: “I made sure that the elections are under full judicial supervision, and this was achieved with the grace of God, and we want the Ministry of Awqaf to be a model in the organization in all its fields, and the service of the Holy Qur’an and its people represents a great honor for us.”
The event was attended by the Minister, Sheikh Muhammad Hashad, Dr. Al -Sayed Abdel -Bari, head of the religious sector, Dr. Hisham Abdel Aziz, and Sheikh Khaled Khadr, in addition to a large group of members of the union and the people of the Qur’an.
The new captain’s statement
In his first statement after his victory, Sheikh Muhammad Hashad said: “Ahmed God Almighty for this victory, which came with witnessed efforts from His Excellency the Minister of Awqaf, Dr. Osama Al -Azhari and the committee supervising the elections.
Thus, the Readers Syndicate has ended the first elections under full judicial supervision, in a move described as an important station in the union’s march and the service of its members.
