Mrs. Rowan bint Naguib Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, affirmed her pride in the qualitative contributions made by the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain that embody their deep awareness, their high ambition, and their renewed creativity, noting that celebrating the International Youth Day reflects in its essence in appreciation of the spirit of determination and innovation that characterizes Bahraini youth, and a firm belief in their pivotal role in building the future of the country.
This came during the celebration of the International Youth Day, which was held in “Youth City 2030” under the slogan “Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future”, in the presence of Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, and Mrs. Maha Abdel Hamid Moufiz, CEO of the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, along with a number of happiness with the ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a number of official and community personalities.
This integrated national event embodied the concern that the Kingdom of Bahrain attaches to continuing to support and empower youth, and the depth of confidence in their ability to contribute effectively to achieving sustainable development, and consolidating their leadership in various sectors, in order to enhance the Kingdom’s position as an inspiring model in investing in the energies and creativity of youth.
The event was characterized by its societal and development nature, as it witnessed a variety of interactive paragraphs and activities that reflected the vitality of Bahraini youth and highlighted their talents and creativity, as well as highlighting their pivotal role in strengthening the national sustainability agenda and pushing it forward.
In a qualitative initiative organized for the first time, the Ministry of Youth Affairs launched the “first farmers market for youth in the Kingdom of Bahrain” in coordination with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture and the National Initiative for the Development of the Agricultural Sector, to form an active platform to support local agricultural production with youth leadership, and to enhance the concept of food security as one of the main pillars of sustainable development.
In the paragraph “From the Farm to the Table”, a taste experience that combined the flavors of the authentic Bahraini farms and the contemporary sustainability spirit was presented in a scene that embodies the harmony of the national identity with aspirations towards a more sustainable future.
The tour included highlighting a number of leading youth initiatives in the field of sustainability, where inspiring models were displayed as a “clean health” initiative and the “Zero Wasee & Plastic Cure” initiative, which aims to raise environmental awareness and consolidate the culture of sustainability in societal behavior, in embodying the extent of the awareness of Bahraini youth of their vital role in building a more balanced and conscious future Responsible.
The event also witnessed a presentation of the projects of “Injaz Bahrain”, during which the winning companies were presented in the challenge of young entrepreneurs 2025, which provided innovative solutions in the field of environment and sustainable development, which reflects the spirit of leadership and innovation among young people.
The attendees witnessed a distinguished artistic paragraph entitled “The Tone of the Youth” presented by the artist Faisal Al -Ansari, in which it expressed the melodies of the pulse of Bahraini youth, and their souls burning with vitality and creativity.
