Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, conducted a sudden field tour of a number of medical facilities in the city of Al -Shorouk in Cairo Governorate, as part of his keenness to follow up on the workflow in the field and interact with citizens and workers on the ground, support the disciplined facilities, and address the shortcomings urgently.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the minister began his tour by inspecting the Rayhan family health center, where the minister inspected the waiting places for patients, emergency clinics, vaccinations, ophthalmology, family medicine, and dental, in addition to the laboratory department, pharmacy, and workers affairs.
He continued, that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar directed the disbursement of rewards for the medical and administrative team disciplined at the center, in appreciation of their dedication to work and their service to a large number of citizens who are hesitant, stressing that all legal measures regarding those who are neglected in performing their work in accordance with the work of the work of the work assigned to them.
Abdel Ghaffar noted that the Deputy Prime Minister assured the medical and administrative team to support the flexibility in the workflow and the continuity of providing emergency medical services within the health unit in the event that any challenges are facing, the speed of response and the failure to disrupt citizens’ access to the medical service, directing in this regard information technology officials in the Ministry with a field visit to solve the problem of stopping some of the services that are registered on the electronic system in the facility, and immediately the central work team moved to solve that Problems.

He pointed out that the Deputy Prime Minister was keen to speak with patients and frequent clinics, to listen to their opinions and observations about the level of medical services provided, and to ensure that their needs are met, and to reassure the people of patients and hesitants.
During the visit, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar listened to the complaints of a number of citizens in the city of Al -Shorouk about the weak level of services in the Family Health Center 70, and immediately responded to their requests and moved to the center to examine it in the field, and he noticed the low frequency rates on the center and the weak demand for services.
The spokesperson pointed out that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed with the center officials the reasons for the weak services provided to citizens, stressing that the regularity of the presence of doctors and improving the work environment is one of the most important factors to restore citizens’ confidence and increase the demand for services again from the region’s residents, where he directed the speed of raising the efficiency of the center, including the reform of technical breakdowns in medical devices, improving non -medical brushes, and following up periodic maintenance work, in addition to its emphasis on the application of cleaning standards and contracting with a company Security to ensure continuous presence, especially during the evening periods.
He added that the Deputy Prime Minister was keen to inspect the pharmacy stores to check on the availability of medicines and medical supplies. Pharmacies have their important role in achieving communication with patients.
