The line, which is a green corridor between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Italian Republic, contributes to strengthening the low costs of shipping and the time of the arrival of goods, and enhancing Egypt’s ability to be a central logistical region between Europe and Africa, as well as increasing and enhancing commercial opportunities and supporting Egyptian exports from industrial products and agricultural crops by facilitating the permeability of the Egyptian product to European markets, in addition to contributing to providing direct and indirect job opportunities for administrative employees For transportation companies, shipping companies and navigational agents, as well as providing more than 2000 job opportunities for Egyptian drivers.
The Ministry also indicated that the Ruro line linking Egypt and Italy enjoyed the principle of reciprocity in the two ports in terms of port fees and operational incentives, as the ports fees were reduced from 26050 dollars to $ 3250 for the trip (with a value of an estimated discount of 88%).

The features of the line also include customs cooperation between the two sides, where the European Union grant was obtained to twin Egyptian and Italian customs by signing the memorandum of understanding between the customs of the two countries, the issuance of the customs publication of the Egyptian -Italian Ruro line and the adoption of electronic locks for the refrigerated containers.
