He explained that the mechanism of the work of these medications includes stimulating the pancreas to secrete more insulin, reduce the production of glucose in the liver, slow the digestion, which enhances the feeling of satiety, thus improving the body’s response to insulin, especially when used with a healthy diet and exercise. He pointed out that the needle also stimulates the GLP-1 receptors in the brain, which reduces appetite and increases the feeling of fullness, which causes the body to use stored fat as an energy source, which appears as a noticeable weight loss during the first weeks of regular use.
Dr. Hussein for several other mechanisms explaining the effectiveness of these needles in losing weight, among them:
