The Directorate of Supply in Aswan Governorate, in coordination with the competent authorities, will complete the intensification of efforts to overcome the target from receiving wheat quantities for the current harvest season 2025 in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, and in implementation of the instructions of Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan.
Supply the largest possible amount of wheat
Eng. Khaled Abu Al -Qasim, Director General of the Supply Directorate, explained that, according to the assignments of the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Dr. Sherif Farouk, and the Governor of Aswan, Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, farmers are encouraged to supply the largest possible amount of wheat because of the importance it represents as an important strategic crop, before the end of the supply season in mid -August.
He pointed out that the amounts of wheat received from farmers are supplied inside the silos, cunning and niche in the area of the province, as well as inside the silos of the neighboring governorates that were coordinated with them to receive the quantities of wheat in the smoothness and guidance in Qena, Esna, Sohag, Beni Suef, Fayoum and Minya.
It is worth noting that the last amount of wheat supplied reached a total of 553 thousand and 740 tons, since the beginning of the supply season in mid -April, an increase exceeding 83 % over the same period of the harvest season for last year 2024.
